Kit Siang: Sack those behind Bersih ‘faux pas’ - The Prime Minister must sack all those responsible for mishandling of the Bersih rally, if he wants to redeem his concept has 1 Malaysia, Lim Kit Siang said.
"If someone had been assigned to a particular task script, the worst scenarios ... no one could be as creative as before the basket faux pas plan of the Barisan Nasional government is committed," the DAP parliamentary leader said in a statement today.
"As a result, the overseas visit of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, France and the Vatican has proved to be quite a disaster, with the Prime Minister of the international media about the government mishandling of the Bersih rally 2.0 prosecuted."
Lim, however, pointed out that it's not too late Datuk Seri Najib Razak for the rally as a unifying experience for all Malaysians embrace, but urged him to do so quickly.

Bersih estimates that 50,000 people showed up at his 9th July rally for free and fair elections in spite of efforts to prevent assembly takes place while the police have said there are only 6,000.
The protest turned chaotic when police used tear gas and water cannon on thousands of demonstrators in nearly 1,700 arrests, scores injured and the death of ex-military man Baharuddin Ahmad, 59
The government has promised to investigate allegations of police brutality, while the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) will hold its own public inquiry into police conduct during the rally.
