Eric Schmidt, Google's Executive Chairman, said there was still wide open door to cooperation with Facebook and Twitter. He was sure, there is enough room for the existence of many social networking.
This was disclosed Schmidt in a conference in Idaho, United States, as quoted by Reuters on Friday (08/07/2011).
Obviously, Schmidt was referring to the launch of Google's social networking service + in limited trial versions. He claimed it was too early to see how successful Google +.
Presumably Schmidt hopes the presence of Google + does not mean Google should stop working with Twitter and Facebook. "We are pleased if there is a deep integration with Twitter and Facebook," he said.
In contrast to the statement of Schmidt, Google just recently failed to maintain its cooperation with Twitter for real-time search. Schmidt also admitted it.
According to him, Google has a long and substantive talks with Twitter. But in the end the two sides could not reach agreement.
The same thing happened when Google tried to deliver the features + import friends from Facebook. Talk about it with Facebook was fruitless.
Former CEO of Google made it clear that in the future someone could have a couple of 'identity' online. He also believes people do not necessarily have to choose one network, but will have multiple social networks at once.
