Smurfs get their own day, June 25 - Hollywood's Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation said they are coordinating events around the world as part of the Global Day Smurfs this month.

The festivities for the 25th June is scheduled, an attempt to Guinness World Records mark for the largest gathering of people as the fictional character as a little blue Smurfs, over a period of 24 hours dressed known to be set.

Other activities include a Smurfs work experience in London and a family party at New York's South Street Seaport.
