Bill Gates: Diploma Only Not Enough

Bill Gates: Diploma Only Not EnoughBill Gates: Diploma Only Not Enough - school diploma alone is not enough to guarantee good wages and jobs the most attractive, says Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates, who left Harvard University to build a computer company.

"Every student needs mandate that means outside of school," said Gates, speaking at a conference of education and jobs held by civil rights group the National Urban League.

"Higher education is important to get the job done," Gates said, as quoted by Reuters Life!, Which monitored Antara here on Friday (07/28/2011).

He added that education is the equalizer in the community and important to bring Americans back to work and fight poverty.

Gates said he believes the college should "be a goal for almost everybody." However, parents, teachers, and the whole community needs to help make all that possible opportunity.

Despite not completing his third year of education, Gates gave awards to their own educational, supportive parents, and teachers are exceptional in its success.

Having the most effective teachers in the classroom and take advantage of their best practices to help teachers develop very important to make it come true, he said.

Increasing teachers should include feedback from their peers and students, and under certain conditions to achieve value, and even a video review of the classroom, says Gates.

Gates, who said a good school can be available in the poorest neighborhood, referring to the few schools that carry out activities with less money, but the results are better.

"It's not about throwing money to fix the problem," Gates said.

"It is about how teachers are selected. It's about how teachers are encouraged. It's about school culture, high expectations," he said.
